The first year of a babies life goes so fast. Each day they profess and do something new.
They start off wrinkly, soft and vulnerable with no control of their head. They eat, cry and sleep but it is their sheer smallness that makes them so adorable. Within a matter of weeks, they are holding their heads, then they move on to lying on their bellies. Before long the teeth are coming, the mouth blows bubbles and the cheeks go red.
Blink your eye and they are crawling, making noises and finding their personality. This is all before you go back to work from maternity leave. By the first birthday they are probably walking, understanding language, throwing tantrums, dancing, recognising tunes and playing with toys.
