Wedding Photographs at Killeavy Castle

Lorna & Brian met during their teenage years via mutual friends and their romance continued to blossom throughout university.

In 2019, they got engaged in Marbella, however, they’re wedding like most couples was postponed six months due to covid and they eventually got married in December 2021. However, it was worth the wait! They had the best day with all their friends and family present including Lorna’s two sisters who made the trip home for the first time in three years from Australia after being locked down due to the Pandemic.

The very gifted Jolene Feenan at Jolene Feenan Hair created an elegant low bun keeping all the hair away from our brides lovely face. The talented Chimene O’Reilly at COR Cosmetics created a soft and flawless makeup look for Lorna. Lorna’s glam squad did a superb job in enhancing her natural beauty.

This is one of the most stunning and detailed dresses I have ever seen from White Blossom Boutique. There was diamonds, pearls and beading creating this silhouette dream dress.

Diamonds are the ideal detail for the bride seeking to add a little sparkle to her gown. Pearls are the ultimate classic and feminine detail, they are a subtle yet beautiful embellishment.

Lorna had the most luxurious accessories to style her look including Dior earrings, a Molly Brown bracelet and unforgettable Jo Malone perfume.

Jimmy Choo have specialised in the elegance of bridal shoes - these were incredible as always.

Bridesmaids in black really make a statement! It's a chic choice. The girls looked breath taking - They wore black long sleeved dresses with an over sized bow on the back to create all the drama.

With the final touches done with the help of our bridesmaid, Lorna was finally ready to walk down the aisle.

The elegant line up of ladies before leaving home. We just love everything about this winter wedding.

The craic is always great in the boys house the morning of the wedding - full of laughter and banter.

The mother of the groom Marie giving him a helping hand with his dickie bow and getting ready that morning - .

Our three groomsmen Finbarr, Connor & Donal all dressed and ready to get their groom to the church on time.

Our groom and groomsmen look very regal in their classic three piece tuxedos from McCartan’s - this will forever be a timeless look. They styled their look with black patent dress shoes, crisp white handkerchiefs and slick haircuts - All looking very handsome..

The girls and Peter arrived at the church and were so ready for a day full of happiness. Lorna & Brian were married at Newry Cathedral. The music throughout the ceremony was by four fabulous sisters known as The Phillip Sisters. They would give you goosebumps when they are singing.

Walking the bride down the aisle is always such a big moment for the Father of the Bride. Peter looks so happy and proud. Just as we were about to open the doors her brother popped out and we could get a lovely shot of all the siblings together for the first time in a long time.

Brian is in awe of his beautiful wife Lorna. This simple look shows just how much he loves her and how he feels like the luckiest man on earth.

Once the wedding ceremony was ended, they headed to Killeavy Castle for the wedding celebrations. This is the most stunning location for a wedding where history, nature and luxury create the perfect setting to bring family and friends together in celebration.

Killeavy Castle overlooks the ancient landscape of the Ring of Gullion, Mourne and Cooley Mountains, the Castle, Walled Garden and surrounding woodlands provide a spectacular backdrop in which to capture special, once in a life time moments.

While we were taking some wedding photographs, the guests enjoyed music from Parcel of Rogues & Electric Circus throughout the drinks reception.

I think we can all agree that these lot make a great looking bridal party - picture perfect.

Pictured on the right is Mother and Father of the Bride Majella & Peter and on the left is Mother & Father of the Groom Marie & Gerry - two fabulous couples.

I could photograph Lorna all day - she really is a natural beauty and so photogenic.

These of two of my all time favourite photographs - The light was just dropping to give that blue hue in the tunnel. The colour tones give that haunting feeling but stirs emotions when you look at them.

These bridesmaids are out of this world - They look like supermodels and know exactly how to pose for a photograph to show off there amazing dresses.

This simple and sophisticated two tiered cake with floral detail and satin bands was created by Pretty Baked by Nikki - it was fantastic and matched the styling of the room.

This wedding room at Killeavy Castle looks bright and airy in the summer yet sparkly and glam in the winter. It looked so magical with all the fairy lights.

We captured some great moments throughout the speeches. Some moments were emotional but others were full of laughter and jokes. It was the perfect mix.

After the speeches and cake cutting the room was turned around for the dancing and entertainment with DJ Magiggs.

Congratulations Lorna & Brian on your breath taking wedding day - it really was so special. Thank for you letting me be part of your magical day. Wishing you a long and happy marriage and best wishes for the future.
