The Loft Wedding

Just seen OK Magazine out today with the wedding photographs of Stacey Solomon and Joe Swash from their wedding last weekend. Check out her dress design - It is so like Nicole’s - both off white gowns, featuring a tulle skirt, corset bodice and dropped off the shoulder sleeves giving a Downton Abbey Feel. Nicole’s off the shoulder dress from Divinity bridal

Nicole and Kerwin choose to have their wedding celebrations at Northern Ireland’s most young and modern wedding venue; The Loft which is based in The Rabbit Hotel in Templepatrick.

Kerwin and his groomsmen found their perfect suits at Freddie Hachet. They all looked very suave and sharp.

Nicole’s went for a loose tossed hair style which really suited the period style dress. The hair was styled by Jacqui from Coiuffer left some loose, soft curls at the front of her face and loosely pinned back the rest of her hair leaving her looking very regal. To finish off her look, she then wore a beautiful pearl beaded veil which totally set her look off.

Nicole with her daddy Gary getting ready to leave to head to the chapel at St Joesph’s in Stoneyford for the biggest and most magical day of her life. Nicole is a real daddy’s girl. I love this photograph as this house means so much to me personally. Nicole’s granny was my mums aunt and as a child, we visited aunt Bride every week. It really brought me back in time when I called to photograph the girls in the morning of the wedding.

Not only did Nicole make her own cake but she also did all her room dressing herself for her big day including her signage, confetti cones, stationary etc. Is there anything this bride can’t do?! Her attention to detail and personal touches made her room even more spectacular.

The newly weds then set off to Antrim Castle Castles to start the celebrations. Antrim Castle Gardens has been an absolute historical gem for over 400 years. Nicole’s mum and Dad had their wedding photographs taken in the grounds, particularly at the waterway below.

Antrim Castle Gardens recently just opened a new Jubilee Park within the grounds. The grounds has some of the most idyllic surroundings which added some extra magic to the photographs. The bright & beautiful coloured flowers made it look like a fairy garden which was very magical. The bridal parties gorgeous flowers were also created by Floral Unique. It was then time to head to the reception venue at The Loft.

There is no other venue that has the feel of the Loft. The banqueting style table with the abundance of floral greenery and mood lighting throughout gives a very modern twist to a medieval banquet feel. Can I also add that these chairs are one of the most comfortable chairs to sit on. When you are a guest at a wedding, you tend to sit around a lot. Some of the little trendy seats are not that comfortable over time but you could sit on these seats for days.

It was so lovely to see Gary was the wedding organiser at The Loft. We have worked with him when he was at another wedding venue for years. As soon as I saw his face, I knew the day would run smoothly and efficiently. I put bets on with Sean that the dancing would be on by 8.30pm. If only every hotel had a Gary that could turn things around so quickly and professional to get the party going.

Remember I said, we went to Aunt Bridies every week - well did I tell you that she was the best baker every. Her grand daughter has taken after her. Our very creative bride Nicole made her own wedding cake. Nicole owns a business called Bridey Bakes.- Nicole now follows in her Granny’s footsteps making fresh baked goods and has even named her business after her.

Wedding photography around The Loft is filled with some many photo opportunities with its sophisticated luxury and Bohemian glam. Look back at the first image which is my favourite from the day - in front of the very large disco ball.

Congratulations Nicole and Jerwin on putting on an amazing wedding day for all your family and friends to share in your love and celebration.

Stacey Soloman and Joe Swash were pictured in the OK Magazine yesterday for their big day. There are a lot of similarities between their wedding and our Bride and Groom Nicole and Kerwin. Nicole had a Downtown Abbey off the shoulder dress just like Stacey did on her big day.. Nicole also added a lot of personal, creative touches by doing a lot of DIY for her own special day which have been mentioned above as did Stacey. We wish both couples a happy married life filled with love and happiness.
